I would say that, in regards to time, if you want to do something, you will make time for it, you will take away. That's what happened to me. I didn't have the time or the resources financially to come here. I just decided I don't care anymore. I don't care if I sink or swim. I'm going to this program because I knew that I needed it and it was a calling. I know there's a lot of studios out there. I've gone to some other studios out there, but there's nothing like the feeling that you get when you come here if it's the right place for you. I wholeheartedly believe that it's the right place for every person who wants to train as an actor because I knew that. When I walked in, it was just immediate energy. I just knew. I don't know; there's just this feeling like you know that this is a severe studio where your work is going to be taken seriously, and you're going to learn the craft. I learned about myself too. That's the most significant experience ever, to have a place where you can learn about something that you want to do, and you also grow as a person. Q: What would you say is the number one reason to study at Maggie Flanigan Studio? I would say the number one reason would be just how in-depth the training was. I learned things that I had no idea about that I would've never thought to use these specific tools in my acting career, had I not come here. I feel like it's severe and it's for people who are ready to work hard and give their all. That's definitely what the teachers expect of you when you walk in, and you can feel that. You know that you're in a serious place and a serious home. That's what's going to get you to where you want to go. A place that's going to nurture you in every aspect of yourself. Q: What would you say to someone who, maybe like yourself, packed up and moved here specifically just to come here? Do you have any advice for that person? I know you were from here originally, but the transition back into New York City? Just stay focused. Stay focused on the end goal and what you want from yourself and this career. That was always what kept me going, and it's what keeps me going. The city is crazy; it's hectic. Every time I came here, I had my headphones on, and I was always one foot in front of the other. I got to get to Maggie's; I got to get my training. I got to learn everything that I need to learn today, and I need to be prepared. The focus was the main thing that kept me going, and I would tell anybody else about coming here. Sometimes, it can be like you're moving away from your friends and your family and stuff like that, but it's worth it. It's worth it. Things that you get out of this, you won't ever experience anything else like it.
